🚀 The Founder’s Story
I’m building this website like it’s my new job — because it is.
Budget: £500.
First hundred: coffee and smokes.
Why?
Because in the 60s, NASA didn’t have AI, cloud servers, or fancy machines.
They put men on the Moon with black coffee and Lucky Strikes.
No excuses.
No shortcuts.
Just caffeine, cigarettes, and pure human grit.
Most people forget:
A modern washing machine has more computing power than Apollo.
Apollo Guidance Computer:
64 KB memory.
0.043 MHz speed.
Weaker than the chip in your microwave.
But those engineers still guided humans all the way to the Moon.
So if they can do that…
I can build OneManOffice.
Not with million‑pound funding.
Not with a team of developers.
Just me, a laptop, strong coffee, and determination.
That’s the spirit.
Old‑school grit.
Modern tools.
A product for real workers, by a real worker.
🥊 The Jack Dempsey Spirit
“OneManOffice is the Jack Dempsey of office software —
no frills, no fancy footwork, just raw grit and knockout power.”
Forget downloading suites.
Forget formatting.
Forget losing nights with pen and paper.
OneManOffice gives you:
Invoices.
Quotes.
Calculators.
In seconds.
Stop wasting time.
Start making money.
I’ve got a woodburner that’s 200 years old.
I’ve also got a brand‑new combo boiler that’s only 2 years old.
Both heat the house.
Both do the same job.
But only one can be trusted.
Only one never fails.
The combo boiler?
Sensors.
Circuit boards.
Plastic valves.
One tiny sensor fails — the whole house goes cold.
You’re stuck.
You’re waiting.
You’re at the mercy of a “specialist.”
You’re powerless.
The woodburner
It never goes wrong.
Because there is nothing to go wrong.
No sensors.
No circuits.
No fragile parts.
Just cast iron.
Just fire.
Just reliability.
Every single time.
Most software is a combo boiler
Fragile.
Complex.
Cloud‑dependent.
Locked behind error codes.
It hiccups.
It freezes.
It locks you out.
It stops your day dead.
OneManOffice is the woodburner
Cast‑iron logic.
Simple mechanics.
Nothing hidden.
Nothing fragile.
It works online.
It works offline.
It works when everything else fails.
It works because it’s built to.
🔥 Founder Statement
Accounting software could never compete.
They fight upright.
Their feet have never touched the ground.
I grew up on Bristol docks in the 1960s.
Balance wasn’t stability.
Balance was control of chaos.
As a kid, I was obsessed with Jack Dempsey.
His chaos had a pattern.
Raw aggression shaped into geometry.
The Dempsey Roll wasn’t just boxing.
It was physics.
Instinct.
Kinetic force.
Lift the front foot.
Body drops.
Off balance.
Exposed.
Drive off the landing foot.
Turn instability into impact.
That’s how I live.
That’s how I build.
You don’t wait for perfect balance.
You use the imbalance.
You step into it.
You turn chaos into impact.
Everything I create — including OneManOffice — comes from that mindset:
Vicious intention.
Natural law.
No fluff.
No polish.
Just honest tools built by someone who’s had their hands in the real world.
🧱 The Four M’s
OneManOffice is not built on corporate spreadsheets.
It’s built on the Four M’s — the rules that made companies great, big or small.
A good tradesman works by the Four M’s:
Money — never spend more than you must.
Manpower — never waste sweat if a lever will do.
Management — time and plan the work so effort multiplies itself.
Machinery — use the right tool, and let it carry the weight
🧱 Built for One‑Man Bands
The reason I came up with this is simple:
I’ve used packages over the years, and they always turn into a pain.
Invoices unpaid? The software gives you grief.
Overpayments, tips? The software gives you grief again.
OneManOffice is different.
Simple enough your kid could run your paperwork.
Powerful enough to keep your business alive.
